CEO

CEO of Sky Enterprises, a Neptune Beach, FL based trading and investment company which he founded in 2007. Jean Bakkes has been involved as an investor and financier in several early stage companies and venture capital investments in oil & gas, logistics, and real estate development for over fifteen years. He has developed expertise in project management, trade finance, supply chain financing/management, and structured complex financing arrangements for various corporate organizations and financial institutions. He has executed mandates for counterparties in Europe, North America, and across Africa.

Jean gained international trade finance experience during his engagement as Director of International Sales with a U.S. based major exporter of mining, construction, and marine equipment. In the role, he traveled extensively across Africa, acquired deep knowledge of local business practices and nuances in the region, and developed an acute sense for risk mitigation and compliance awareness.
